ExperienceFirst runs group tours of the Bernabéu in English or Spanish, with a local guide and headsets. The route covers the Real Madrid museum, original kits worn by club legends, and on most days the benches and changing rooms.

The English tour offers a tapas upgrade: lunch with a beer at Plaza Mahou, with a view over the pitch. The stadium brews beer on site.

The tour covers about a mile at an easy pace. Once you finish a floor of the three-storey museum you cannot go back to it, so take your photos as you go.

• There is no cloakroom: visitors with suitcases or large bags are turned away
• The museum has three floors, and you cannot return to a floor once you leave it
• Benches and changing rooms are not open on the days before, during or after a home game
• The walk covers about 1 mile at an easy pace
