Bernabéu Stadium Tours

The Santiago Bernabéu has been Real Madrid’s home since 1947, and the stadium you tour today is largely a new building. A steel shell wraps the old stands, a retractable roof covers the pitch, and the Tour Bernabéu has been rebuilt to match. What has not changed is why people come: the trophy room, and the chance to sit where the players sit.

The route, in order

The official Tour Bernabéu ticket follows a one-way route. You enter at Gate 84 on Avenida de Concha Espina, pass the security check and climb to the first stop.

Panoramic view. The visit opens high in the stands, looking across a bowl of around 80,000 seats to the new roof. The scale is the first thing people talk about afterwards.

The museum. This is the longest section. Real Madrid calls it the only place in the world where you can see the club’s 15 Champions League titles together, and they are displayed in one long, dark room that most visitors photograph end to end. Around them are league trophies, Ballon d’Or awards, original shirts and boots, and interactive displays on the basketball and women’s teams. The museum runs over several floors and you cannot go back once you leave a floor, so take your photos as you go.

Changing room and benches. On non-match days the route reaches the first-team changing room and the benches beside the pitch. Real Madrid also lists a temporary visit to the press room, subject to availability.

The shop. The route ends in the official store. A souvenir photo with the Champions League trophy is sold separately along the way.

Ticket, guided or private?

Timing your visit

The tour is open every day except 25 December and 1 January. Monday to Saturday it runs from 9am to 7pm, and on Sundays and holidays from 9:30am to 6:30pm. Mornings are usually calmer, and the best time to visit guide covers seasons and days of the week.

Fixtures matter more than the calendar. On match days the tour stops five and a half hours before kick-off, and the changing rooms and benches are closed that day and the day before. Practical tips

• Book online. Tickets are sold for a time slot with limited capacity, and the ticket office charges €3 more.
• Travel light. There is no cloakroom, and visitors with suitcases are turned away.
