How to Get to the Bernabéu and Metropolitano
Metro, bus and walking directions to Madrid's two stadium tours, including the 2026 Santiago Bernabéu station closure, the free S10 bus and routes between them.
Santiago Bernabéu metro station is closed until the end of 2026. Ride to Nuevos Ministerios and walk about 15 minutes, or take the free S10 bus, which stops beside the stadium.

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano is unaffected. Take Line 7 to Estadio Metropolitano, or Line 2 to Las Rosas and walk 15 minutes. Both routes, and the link between the two stadiums, are below.
Tips for the journey
- Leave luggage at your hotel. The Bernabéu has no cloakroom and turns away suitcases.
- Check the fixture list. Match days bring crowds and route changes at both stadiums. See stadium tours on match days.
- Check before you travel. Metro works can change at short notice, so look at Metro de Madrid’s service updates on the day.
Getting to the Santiago Bernabéu
Metro de Madrid shut Line 10 between Nuevos Ministerios and Cuzco on 28 March 2026 to rebuild Santiago Bernabéu station. The Tour Bernabéu entrance is Gate 84 on Avenida de Concha Espina, on the north side of the stadium.
Metro to Nuevos Ministerios, then walk. Nuevos Ministerios is served by Lines 6, 8 and 10 and by Cercanías commuter trains. From the station, walk north along the Paseo de la Castellana for about 15 minutes; the stadium’s steel facade is visible from a long way off.
Free S10 replacement bus. Until the station reopens, the S10 runs between Plaza de Castilla and Nuevos Ministerios, stopping near Cuzco and Santiago Bernabéu. It is free for metro passengers. On weekdays buses run every 3 to 5 minutes from 6am to 9pm; at weekends and on holidays, every 6 to 8 minutes during the day.
City buses. EMT lines 14, 27, 40, 43, 120, 126, 147 and 150 stop near the stadium.
From the airport. Metro Line 8 runs from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios, which makes it the easiest route in from Barajas while the Bernabéu station is closed.
Getting to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano
The Atleti Tour & Museum is at Paseo de los Colchoneros 11, on Madrid’s eastern edge.
Metro Line 7 to Estadio Metropolitano. The nearest stop. On match days trains run more often.
Metro Line 2 to Las Rosas. About a 15-minute walk, and a direct ride from Sol in the city centre.
Metro Line 5 to Canillejas. Also about 15 minutes on foot.
Buses. Atlético lists 15 EMT city lines and 20 intercity lines serving the stadium area.
Between the two stadiums
The quickest public-transport route from the Bernabéu to the Metropolitano, while Santiago Bernabéu station is closed:
- Walk or take the S10 bus to Nuevos Ministerios.
- Take Line 10 one stop south to Gregorio Marañón.
- Change to Line 7 towards Estadio Metropolitano.
Allow 45 minutes to an hour door to door. The Bernabéu opens at 9am Monday to Saturday and the Metropolitano at 11am, so the usual plan is Bernabéu in the morning and Atlético after lunch. Bernabéu vs Metropolitano helps if you only have time for one.
