Atlético Tour Guide
Touring the Riyadh Air Metropolitano
The route, the museum, the ticket options and what to know.
Atlético de Madrid moved to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in 2017, and the stadium tour reflects a club that knows it can’t out-trophy its neighbour. It offers access instead. The route follows the players from the dressing room through the tunnel to the benches, then into the press room and the presidential box, and finishes in one of Madrid’s more interactive sports museums.
The route
The Atleti Tour & Museum ticket is the standard way in, from $29, with a 4.7 rating from more than 2,200 reviews. You walk the stadium at your own pace, and you can add an English or Spanish audio guide at checkout.
Dressing room. The first-team dressing room is set up with shirts on the pegs, and it is the place most visitors want their photo.
Tunnel and benches. You walk the same tunnel the players use and come out beside the pitch, then sit on the red benches under a roof covering more than 70,000 seats.
Press room and presidential box. You sit where Diego Simeone faces the media after matches, then see the stadium from the directors’ seats.
Interactive museum. Touchscreens, projections, virtual reality and games take you through the club’s history from 1903. Atlético estimates about an hour here, the same as for the stadium.
Ways to do it
- Tour & Museum ticket — self-guided, from $29. Right for most visitors. Our breakdown.
- Official guided tour — the guided stadium tour with museum entry, from $37, led by the club’s guides in Spanish and English. See Metropolitano guided tours.
- Honorary kick-off — the stadium tour with a kick-off in the centre circle, from $86, with photos and video of your moment on the grass.
- Premium breakfast tour — a small-group tour an hour before public opening with breakfast in Simeone’s box, from $86.
Things to know
The club is clear that the stadium route can be changed or suspended for sporting or organisational reasons, and that bookings on match weekends may shift. If that happens you can exchange your ticket for another day. Madrid’s tourism office also notes that between the end of the season and a week before the first home match, the pitch may be without grass and the route altered. A recent reviewer found an ice rink laid around the stadium in winter. Stadium tours on match days covers how to plan around this.
Children aged 0 to 3 go free under Atlético’s pricing, and the museum’s games suit younger fans; see stadium tours for families. Visitors with reduced mobility should email the club before visiting.
Getting there
Take Metro Line 7 to Estadio Metropolitano. The stadium sits on Madrid’s eastern edge, and the tour and museum entrance is at Paseo de los Colchoneros 11. From the city centre, allow 30 to 40 minutes. Full directions are in how to get to the Bernabéu and Metropolitano.

What Metropolitano Tour Visitors Say
Ratings and review counts are the operators' live figures on GetYourGuide and may shift slightly day to day.
"Excellent, very interactive, and the staff is very friendly. The only downside is that they don't allow you to go down the tunnel to the pitch."

"Everything was beyond my expectations,i came with my husband who is a huge fan and I experienced all the history and the feeling of the team,i almost cried, so sentimental. And the experience watching the stadium from the VIPs...i mean... you don't know what you are missing if you don't come...👏👏👏🫶"
"We didn't regret visiting the Riyad stadium of Atlético de Madrid. We enjoyed a pleasant tour. A magnificent trophy room! Interactive experiences like karaoke, VR, etc. On the day of our visit on the 25th, the stadium was being prepared for The Weeknd's shows! It was amazing to see how close it was to the stage. The tour is really much cheaper than the Bernabeu, which we saw without a tour. On the other hand, the Atlético stadium is close to a park and the metro. The esplanade is nice, with fast-food restaurants open even when there are no games."

"Nice tour! Despite the small museum, it's very nice to visit. However, the trophy room was not accessible on the day of the tour."

"Thoroughly enjoyable tour and the fact you can choose self guided aswell is a bonus. Would highly recommend anyone to do it"
"We did the self tour and it was amazing, got to see the whole stadium but in our own time, one of the best stadium tours ive done, well worth the visit."

"Excellent tour - nice innovative elements which made it fun. You could feel the passion of the club. Much better than the Real Madrid tour."
